Destiny 2is a game with many great aspects. Its dedicated fanbase has been able to enjoy a long narrative over the past couple of seasons whileTrials of Osiris got matchmakingand an overhaul to be more accessible. In many ways the game has been trending upward since theForsakenexpansion, but some quality-of-life improvements could still be made. Some parts ofDestiny 2feel limiting and redundant. These aspects interrupt the enjoyment players can get out of the game, and in some cases seem to punish dedicated players who enjoy the grind for some of the game’s most difficult activities....

Destiny 2’s Lightfall campaign has been mostly praised for its gameplay aspects, while its story has been disappointing, especially compared to last year’s Witch Queen story campaign. The marketing for Lightfall hyped the story not only as the penultimate chapter inDestiny 2’s Light and Darkness saga but as a darker war story ready to answer questions before its narrative conclusion in the Final Shape. Instead, these answers are now advertised to be shown during the forthcoming seasons as a “year-long campaign,” which is a poor choice for significant story beats....
