ARK: Survival Evolvedfans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months, as the game’sphysical releasedraws closer and developer Studio Wildcard continues to release updates and expansions. But today, yet another excitingARKrelated project has been announced.

On the game’s official YouTube page, a live actionARK: Survival Evolvedweb series has been announced. The debut trailer, which is just 16 seconds long, sees a newARKplayer wash up on the beach. Disheveled and out of sorts, the player may hope for an easy start in the game’s dino-infested setting, but unfortunately for the newbie, the very first player they meet gives them a less-than-friendly greeting courtesy of their menacing dinosaur steed.

TheARK: Survival Evolvedteams promises “more cinematic episodes in the near future.” All of the live action clips are being created by Studio Wildcard’s partners at Snail Games, in conjunction with PIXOMONDO, an international effects team that has worked onGame of Thronessince its second season.Games of Thronesoffers some stupendous visual effects, including Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons, so it’s no wonder why the team seemed like a good fit for theARK: Survival Evolvedlive action series.

With humungous live events such as anexploding volcanoand with sillier features such asfunctioning toilets, some would argue thatARK: Survival Evolvedis a game that sells itself. The game is consistently a popular title on live-streaming platform Twitch and has already become a success thanks to word of mouth.

However, fans of the survival multiplayer game say that these live action cinematics can do a good job of letting people know what theARKexperience is all about. Although the trailer makes it look pretty grim for new players, many seem to agree that this is in line with their experience as newbies. Part of the fun is being able to build up skills and avoid becoming a dinosaur’s lunch or getting decimated by a player who has been playing the game for far longer.

Though, some have also joked that the live action trailer didn’t represent the game’s lag well enough. AsARK: Survival Evolvedsalescontinue to increase, helped by these new clips, that’s something that Studio Wildcard can work on. That way, the game can accommodate all of these new faces and the existing players hoping to give them a grizzly welcome too.

Ark: Survival Evolvedis out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in early access. A full release is planned for later this year.
