An artist has created a stunning illustration of Lady Gaga as a Digimon, and it’s surprising just how well it works. He used the famous pop-singer as a muse for creating a live-action adaptation Angewomon, a popularDigimonknown for her role inDigimon Adventure— the first season of the franchise’s anime.
The artist goes by the name “Carlos Gzz.” He’s known for taking popular animated properties and giving them live-action spins using celebrities' likenesses. He’s alsoa big fan of Lady Gaga, thus leading to his drawing her as Angewomon.

Carlos didn’t take many liberties with the artwork, as Lady Gaga’s outfit matches Angewomon’s design to a T, which is probably why the piece works as well as it does. Angewomon’s eccentric look is the exact kind Lady Gaga would normally sport.
The only difference between the two here is the armored faceplate. Angewomon’s only leaves her mouth exposed and covers the rest. One wouldn’t be able to tell the illustration was Lady Gaga if Carlos did the same with her design, so her plate is a helmet instead. Despite this, the two images still manage to align nearly perfectly.
If it wasn’t apparent by the look and name, Angewomon is supposed to be a take on what a female angel would look like. As such, a demon version of her known as LadyDevimon exists as well.Lady Gagais all for having a dark side, so Carlos drew her in LadyDevimon’s image as well.
Digimonmay not have a live-action story anywhere, but if it ever does get one, it’ll be hard not to imagine Lady Gaga in the role of Angewomon with how naturally she nails the look. That said,Digimon Adventuredid just launch a reboot, one that subtly changed the title toDigimon Adventure:. In fact, the reboot probably inspired these Angewomon art pieces in the first place.
Sadly,Digimon Adventure:was recently put on indefinite hiatus. It only made it three episodes into its run, so Angewomon hasn’t made her debut within it yet. She’s a prominent part ofDigimon Adventure, though, so she’ll appear in the reboot eventually when it gets back on the air.
In the meantime,Hulu just addedDigimon Adventureto its library, so if anyone wants to relive the anime, or even watch it for the first time, Hulu’s a good place for it.
