InBaldur’s Gate 3, in addition to the usual one-shot spells, players and enemies can cast Concentration spells, which require maintaining a constant focus to stay active. Nevertheless, for manyBG3fans, such spells are one of the most annoying things in the game.
Although it’s not hard to cancel these Concentration spells, many fans are unaware of this option. It’s important for players to learn how to do so to enjoy the game, and to stay flexible in combat.

How to Cancel Concentration Spells on PC (Mouse & Keyboard)
When players cast a Concentration spell, it will last for the number of turns specified in its description, or until the player wants to stop it. While a spell is active, a tiny icon with the active spell will appear in the GUI, at the bottom left of their character’s picture.
To end the spell, point at the cross on the spell icon and click on it,and the spell will end. Additionally, Concentration spells can stop working whenplayers cast other spellsthat require concentration, as only one of these spells can be active at a time. For example, if Edvard’s Black Tentacles is active, castingSleet Stormwill stop its effect and replace it.

How to Cancel Concentration Spells on a Controller
It’s even easier to end Concentration spells on the controller than on the keyboard, as it doesn’t require searching for the small icon in the GUI. All players need isopen the radial menu with spells by pressing RB.Then, justhold down the End Concentration button, which is set to the Y button on the controller by default.
By ending their Concentration spells early, players can avoid some annoying problems, such as accidentally getting a friendly or neutral NPC into thespell’s area of effect, which can cause an additional fight. What’s more, some users claimed that their party members entered their Cloud of Mist, which left them with no options to revive their companions because no one could see them to cast spells.
