Summary
Ubisoft’sGhost Recon Wildlandsis an open-world tactical shooter in which players must control a squad of “Ghosts” as they face off against the deadly Santa Blanca cartel. Across the varied terrain of Bolivia, players can use a multitude of weapons, vehicles, and gadgets to complete an extensive list of tasks and missions. In addition to this, players can alsocustomize their character’s look, as well as the appearance of their squadmates with a range of clothing and accessory options.
The following outfits can be created using just the standard clothing and accessories in the game. No DLC content is necessary to create any of them. Players can also customize each look to their personal preference by replacing unwanted items or changing colors and camouflage patterns.
8Spec Ops
A Realistic Look To Enhance Immersion
The “Spec Ops” outfit is designed to remain faithful to the intentions of the original game, combining advanced technology with boots-on-the-ground militarism. The result is a character who will feel immersive to play and won’t look out of place in any of the game’smany diverse environments. A combination of multicam accessories and a black base helps to give this soldier a tough and grounded look.
7Santo Muerto
A Haunting Look Based Upon The Dia De Los Muertos
The “Santo Muerto” outfit can be found as one of the standard outfits for Nomad in his “Special Outfits” section. This look is centered around the Dia De Los Muertos facepaint, a common symbol of death inLatin culture. While the rest of the look is up to players' personal preference, the Shemagh and Watch Cap combination helps to bring the “mask of death” forward as the focus. Many white camo items can also look good in conjunction with the face paint.
6Freedom Fighter
A Realistic Disguise To Blend In With Rebels
The “Freedom Fighter” outfit is meant to closely replicate the rebel forces which players work alongside to liberate towns and other areas. While there are some options available in cosmetic DLC packs, players can still do plenty to fit in with the standard items like the Bolivia Cap and Cargo pants. This canincrease immersionas it is highly likely that special forces in such a situation would disguise themselves among local militia to avoid an international scandal.
5El Jefe
Inspired By The Santa Blanca Cartel Lieutenants
The “El Jefe” design is meant to mimic a cartel leader or perhaps an aspiring dictator as seen in theTropicogame series. While there are not a huge number of options when it comes to creating a smart, well-dressed operative, the Long Sleeve Shirt and Jeans give this outfit a more casual and less militaristic feel. However, the Gold Sunglasses combined with the El Jefe Cigar and the typical Patrol Cap often worn by Fidel Castro assert that this is no ordinary soldier.
4Riot Squad
A Domineering Look With More Of A Law Enforcement Feel
The “Riot Squad” outfit is designed to mimic heavily armored law enforcement units, such as in riot situations. As a result, it can also look like a UNIDAD uniform, though don’t be fooled, they will still attack when the squad is detected. The Surgeon Helmet gives this outfit its name, though some more heavily armored attire such as the Heavy IBA vest and ESS Ballistic Goggles also complement this no-nonsense design.
3Night Crawler
A Splinter Cell-Inspired Stealth Look
The “Night Crawler” look is designed with stealth and night operations in mind. The Echelon Goggles will give the Ghost a look reminiscent ofSam Fisher of theSplinter Cellseries, making them look futuristic and deadly at the same time. The rest of the outfit is built to complement this mask, and players can change various elements such as adding more Ghillie Suit parts should they wish. Overall, it can give the Ghosts a very menacing and dehumanizing look.
2Open Ranger
A Stylish Design Combining Cowboy And Guerilla Aesthetics
The “Open Ranger” outfit is designed to bring some cowboy flair to the Bolivian environment, in a way that will fit in with the various biospheres around the map. By combining the green Fleece with the Leather Bull Hat, this look is achieved, and the characters will not look out of place in the humid rainforests orthe arid deserts. The balaclava simply adds an element of mystery to the character, helping to conceal the identity of the Ghost.
Accessories
1Point Man
The “Point Man” outfit is designed around staying agile, while also distinguishing the leader somewhat from therest of the squad. The orange Pointman Specs do this quite adequately, while the Double Layer T-shirt keeps the look relatively light rather than armored and cumbersome. The Drone Pilot IBA vest also makes sense since it is the squad leader who will be using drones more often than not.
