Even with its latest and perhaps greatest inElden Ring, FromSoftware’sBloodborneremains one of the most popular titles in its catalog. Thanks to its more action-oriented combat, unique aesthetic and setting, and fan-lovedTrick Weapons, Bloodbornehas always stood out—and fans have wanted a sequel for a long time.

Many fans would settle for a60 FPS upgrade forBloodborne, while others hope for a proper PS5 remasteror remake. A sequel, much to many fans’ dismay, is unlikely because FromSoftware’s Hidetaka Miyazaki prefers new IPs to sequels. That hasn’t stopped fans from hoping for Bloodborne 2, and one fan-made trailer gives fans a tantalizing taste of what it could look like.

As reported by Screen Rant, YouTuber ENFANT TERRIBLE recently made a trailer forBloodborne 2using Unreal Engine 5. The video reportedly uses artwork fromBloodborneartists and developers, enhancing them with Unreal Engine 5’s capabilities. If there’s one thing for certain, it’s that Unreal Engine 5 would makeBloodborne 2a true marvel.

There are several environments that showcase what a Yharnam from the ground up could look like, while also showing snowy and sandy environments that would fitBloodborne 2if it expanded beyond Yharnam. It’s always felt like a pipe dream, but to know thatBloodborne 2on Unreal Engine 5 is incredibly unlikely feels like something taken out of the Hunter’s Nightmare.

It’s not impossible thatBloodborne 2is eventually made, but it feels very unlikely. After its 2015 release, FromSoftware moved on with its less Souls-like gameSekiro: Shadows Die Twiceand its open-world Souls RPGElden Ring. WithElden RingDLClikely in the works, it’s possible FromSoft has begun development (in some stage) of its next game, but that could be just about anything.

This showcase ofBloodborne’s Yharnam in Unreal Engine 5 hasn’t been the only video showing the power of UE5 as of late. A recentUE5 video showcased what anAssassin’s CreedJapan gamecould look like, and plenty more have gone to show off its power. The first game to release using Unreal Engine 5 has yet to be confirmed, but several Unreal Engine 5 games are in development. Each of those games show a ton of promise, and there’s little doubt many are ready to see its power in action—though it probably won’t happen withBloodborne 2.
