As seen in AMC’sLucky Hanktrailer, Hank is not having the best time connecting with his young students, growing fearful that his well-set personality is starting to clash with his class in these modern times.Lucky Hankis set to premiere on March 19, and suffice it to say, people who lovedSaul Goodman’s eccentricities and outburstswill be in for a treat. Hank’s antics from the novel include picking fights with the goose living on Railton’s campus and criticizing his students for enrolling in this less-than-prestigious institution.
The game’s name for Hank is a mid-life crisis, but it’s clear he still has a lot of unresolved issues from his past. These issues keep him tied to Railton, and his psychotherapy sessions will drive his character inLucky Hank. Russos’Straight Manwas written as a satire novel that pokes fun at the state of academia, on-campus relationships, and Hank’s coping with middle age, sothe kind of stuff Odenkirk is cut out for.
It’s not as if Odenkirk is the type of actor who can be typecast, as the 60-year-old’s action breakout inNobodyproved he is capable of veering offinto new genres, something he’s been thankful for since his fitness levels for that movie might have saved him when he suffered a heart attack in 2021.Lucky Hankcertainly looks to follow in the tradition of AMC hits likeBetter Call SaulorMad Men, soBreaking Badfans are bound to be intrigued by this new look at academia.
