Activision and Infinity Ward added a very useful Gunsmith feature toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, allowing players to preview an important component before testing out a primary weapon in multiplayer matches. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Season 2 Reloaded began on February 15 with a major update. The update applied a plethora of bug fixes and adjustments to online multiplayer while introducingthe all-new Ranked Play systemfor competitive play. Additionally, the Season 2 Reloaded update introduced four new maps: Dome, Valderas Museum, Zaya Observatory, and Al Malik International. Many more changes were made inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Season 2 Reloaded, including a new feature in the Gunsmith menu.

Reddit user u/xpatrickmsx noticed a new reticle preview feature is now present in the Gunsmith menu after installing the Season 2 update forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Players may now view reticles found in optic attachments for weapons by simply browsing through the available selection in the Gunsmith menu. The reticle preview is displayed besides the pros and cons entries for the optic attachment. In a Reddit post, u/xpatrickmsx demonstrated the new feature by hovering over the Angel-40 4.8X optic attachment for his weapon in the Gunsmith.

Players are relieved to see the new reticle preview feature inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2since it helps them narrow down their search for the ideal scope in the Gunsmith menu. However, some players are reminded about the current lack of reticle customization in the game unlike prior entries intheCall of Dutyfranchise.

The reticle preview feature appears to be well-received by the active player community on Reddit for the most part, and Infinity Ward should continue to listen to player feedback. Reticle customization may become the next highly-requested Gunsmith feature for futureCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2updates.
