Activision recently pulled the curtain back on its plans forCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 1, which promises to be the “biggest free content drop inCall of Dutyhistory.” Activision revealed the new content coming toCall of Duty: Modern Warfarewith an image highlighting new maps, modes,Spec Ops missions, and more, including a couple of new weapons that will be added to the popular first-person shooter.
It’s been confirmed that the nextCall of Duty: Modern Warfarenew guns are the Ram-7 and Holger-26. The Ram-7 is a fully automatic “bullpup” Assault Rifle, whereas the Holger-26 is an LMG that boasts a drum magazine “for additional ammunition-carrying capacity.“Call of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers will be able to unlock the Ram-7 and Holger-26 through the Season 1 Battle Pass.

Like in other games, theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareBattle Passhas tiers that players can earn to unlock special rewards, including these new guns as well as cosmetics. While there will be a paid version of theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareBattle Pass that will come with exclusive content, the new guns will be available to everyone. More details on how exactly theCall of Duty: Modern Warfarenew guns can be unlocked, like how many tiers players will have to earn in the Battle Pass, should come to light next week.
That’s becauseCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 1starts on December 3, going live across all platforms simultaneously. Not all of the new content will be added on December 3, but since the new guns are a part of the Battle Pass, players will presumably be able to earn them on December 3 if they play the game enough.
In the meantime, Activision has left the door open for even more new content to come toCall of Duty: Modern Warfarein Season 1, with more new 2v2 Gunfight maps specifically mentioned as a possibility. It’s possible theleaked crossbow and Vector SMGcould also be added at some point in Season 1 as well, though that hasn’t been confirmed at this time.
