Announced on PR Times last Friday, a new Pochita plush is coming to the market. But this is not your average plush toy; this is an oversized, giant, extra-squishy Pochita! While the “real” Pochita inChainsaw Manis not much bigger than a fat cat, this particular plush toy is considerably larger. That makes it perfect for sleeping with, as illustrated in the press release by a woman using Pochita as acomfortable pillow.

InChainsaw Man, Pochita is the main character Denji’s best friend, especially in his childhood when he was homeless and otherwise alone. Pochita may look like a strange orange dog, buthe is actually a devil. Instead of eating Denji like most devils would, though, he comes the lonely boy’s best friend. And when Denji nearly dies, Pochita sacrifices himself to save his best friend, and becomes the source of Denji’s chainsaw devil powers.
Pochita may have only been inChainsaw Manfor a few episodes at the start, buthe won the hearts of viewers everywherejust in that short time. Plus, he is extremely important, as Denji would not have his powers without him - and we would have no anime without Denji’s powers! Pochita’s simple, ridiculous character design (especially compared with the intricate and terrifying designs of many other devils in the anime) along with his antics made him an instant fan-favorite.

Giant Pochita is a whopping 70×34cm (27.5×13.3in). Of course, a Pochita in that size comes at a bit of a high price tag. He will be available for ¥11,000 ($77 USD), which is a small price to pay for his size in our opinion. Pre-orders opened on Friday when the announcement was made via theofficial MOVIC shop, and will be accepted through September 6th. He will be officially released on November 10th, 2023.
