Destiny 2players are just about finish up the final season beforeBeyond Lightdrops on Tuesday. This season, the Season of Arrivals, will be coming to a close with a smallLive Event inside of theDestiny 2Tower. But when the event will occur is still a little bit of mystery.

While no official time is listed, players have been warned that they have to log out ofDestinyat 4PM PST to download a small patch. Most likely, this patch is all about the Live Event for theSeason of Arrival’send. Also, the beginning of the 14-hourDestinyserver reset is set to start at 7 PM PST, withDestiny 2logins being cut off at 6:50 PM PST. Given that, players should expect to be able to log in between 4pm PST and 6:50 PST in order to see the live event.

Inside of an email released by Bungie last week, the team accidentally spoiled the upcoming end-of-season event. The message said: “Be sure to catch the finale of the Season and see the conclusion before Beyond Light releases. For more information on what is coming, read the new This Week at Bungie now.” But there was not a single mention of the event inThis Week at Bungie, although there was a brief mention ofthe Spicy Ramen Coupons inDestiny 2.

A few hours later, the end-of-Season-of-Arrivals Live Event was confirmed byLuke Smith, the game director ofDestiny 2, on Twitter, but no time was listed. Smith tweeted that it would be a “small event to close out the Season of Arrivals,” and that the team “wanted it to be a surprise.” He also mentioned that it would be time to hang out in the Tower “before the Lights go out.”

There’s a lot to break down in a tweet that’s less than 60 words long. Players were all most likely expecting a Live Event, especially after theexplosive finale of the Season of the Worthy. But “nothing too crazy” might mean the bigger reveals are saved for Beyond Light.

There has been speculation that the end of season event count feature anything from the Darkness ships destroying planets to the Traveler being healed, but those sound like significant moments for the world ofDestiny 2.Regardless, players will be counting down until later this afternoon to see what might happen in-game.
