This week, Bungie launched the first content add-on forDestiny 2called Black Armory and with it, a centralset of activities called forges. The first two forges are already live in the game, with two more set to join the fold over the next month or so. And while players have likely already jumped into and completed the forge activity, they may not know all of the ins and outs. More importantly, there is an important tip that can help those players who are struggling with the forge by running out of time.
The key components to the forge activity inDestiny 2are the blue colored enemies, the radiant battery, and the forge itself. To complete the first two rounds, the fireteam must defeat the blue enemies, grab the batteries they drop, and then throw 20 of them at the forge.

However, what some might not realize is that throwing batteries has no correlation to the timer in the forge. It’s actually the blue enemies that will add time and allow the team to complete the activity. Each enemy has a different time value depending on its difficulty – so the stronger the enemy, the more time added upon its defeat.
With this in mind, teams that are struggling can use roaming supers and add clearweapons like Thunderlordto focus on killing the blue enemies first and then worrying about throwing batteries later. The batteries will stay on the ground for a while, so it’s okay to let a few lay there while adding some time.
Moreover, though the stronger enemies might be harder to defeat, it is worth it to prioritize them to gain extra time. Always call out when a more challenging enemy is nearby so that the team can quickly eliminate it and then go back to the natural flow of the forge.
Of course, time is still a factor with the final boss and there is no way to extend the timer. Instead, the fireteam will need to use its strongest weapons and buffs to do damage in a short amount of time. There is a strategy tosafely complete the Volundr Forge, so any who are having trouble should consider changing things up.
Destiny 2: Black Armoryis available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
