Less than two weeks remain until players can finally go hands on withDestiny 2: Shadowkeep. The studio hasn’t been quiet in sharing not only its enthusiasm for its latest expansion, but with how it plans to continue evolving the experience over the next year. New to this season isthe Battle Pass and tier ranks, a reward mechanic similar to what players would find in other games likeRocket LeagueandFortnite Battle Royale. Along with a premium version, all players can claim rewards just by earning XP for playing the game and rising through each rank.

To ensure that everyone is on the same page when Shadowkeep finally arrives, Bungie updatedDestiny 2earlier this week to give allForsaken expansion owners the Annual Pass for free. This gives them access to the Black Armory Forges, Gambit Prime class armor and Reckoning, as well as the Menagerie and Season of Opulence content. Previously locked exotics like Outbreak Perfected and Lumina are now available for everyone, giving players an almost overwhelming amount of things to do in the next week and a half.

Even with an influx of new content, the one element that never changes from week to week is the arrival of the exotic merchant Xur. As usual, the oddball merchant inDestiny 2is back once again with a whole new inventory of exotic gear for sale over the next few days. Here’s where players can find Xur as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of June 18, 2025.

Where is Xur?

Players can find Xur back inside of the European Dead Zone this weekend.

Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.

Class Armor

Its understandable for players to be extra cautious with their resources, seeing as howDestiny 2: Shadowkeepand its many changesare right around the corner. Thankfully, Xur has some pretty solid options on sale this week that may cause players to think twice. Of course, the Fated Engram is still available to provide something else including a chance to unlock an exotic from the Forsaken expansion.

Here are Xur’s three gear pieces for this weekend:

Karnstein Armlets - Warlock gauntlets

Taking a break from what seems like constant rolls of Chromatic Fire every other week, Xur has decided to instead bring the Karnstein Armlets. These are a strong Warlock exotic item, that gives the player added survivability thanks to its exotic perk. Upon a melee kill, Vampire’s Caress restores a large portion of health while also continuing to restore health for a short duration afterward.

This is an item that all Warlocks should have as it’s a very strong item in PvE situations and activities like Gambit, Escalation Protocol, or Blind Well where there are large groups of enemies to overcome. The roll on this item is also pretty good especially when paired with Xur’s weapon this week. This an easy item to recommend this week for those who don’t already have it.

Random Gear Rolls:

Orpheus Rigs - Hunter leg armor

Nightstalker Hunters should be thrilled to see the Orpheus Rigs are back on sale this weekend. Uncanny Arrows enhances the Shadowshot super ability by giving players ability energy for each enemy tethered by Deadfall anchors. For those using Moebius Quiver, they can take more shots than usual.

Evne though manysupers including Shadowshot are receiving big changesinShadowkeep, the Orpheus Rigs are easily one of the best exotic gear pieces for Hunters. They’re extremely useful for Shadowshot players and great at crowd control like the bridge sections of Reckoning. What makes these even better is that the roll this week is extremely good with Traction and Special Ammo Finder. This is a very easy purchase for Hunters.

Ashen Wake - Titan gauntlets

One month later, the Ashen Wake gauntlets are back for Sunbreaker Titans. Bring the Heat makes all thrown fusion grenades explode on impact and gives the Titan increased throw speed. The community has affectionately referred to these exotic gauntlets as being able to throw fireballs at enemies.

As fun as that sounds, these are at best a situational exotic where each player’s mileage will vary. It’s a great exotic for taking down major enemies quickly and is capable of taking a players health down enough to be one shot in PvP. The roll this week for the item is also pretty good, so for fans of fusion grenades, this is easy to recommend. For everyone else, hold on the legendary shards and skip them.

Exotic Weapon

Beware homing grenades this weekend in the Crucible because The Colony is back on sale. Insectoid Robot Grenades is its intrinsic perk which causes the weapon to fire grenades that are actually spider robots. Once fired, these devices chase enemy targets (even up/around walls) and explode at close range. As if that isn’t enough, when holstered, the gun refills its magazine as well.

Grenade launchers are still very popular and look to remain a strong option even afterthe secretShadowkeepnerfthey’re receiving. The Colony is a strong option and makes encounters a bit easier thanks to its ability to find a target even when not aiming. While it’s likely a weapon that most players have at this point, The Colony is an easy recommendation for those who don’t.

The perks for this weapon this weekend are:
