Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotis set to launch early next year, featuring a retelling of the entireDragon Ball Zsaga. As such, one of the last battles in the game will be between SS3 Goku and Kid Buu, which is one of the final battles in the anime/manga. Bandai Namco has now given fans a closer look at that fight, courtesy of four new screenshots forDragon Ball Z: Kakarotthat show the two ultra-powerful beings battling it out.
In one screenshot, we can see SS3 Goku powering up a Kamehameha blast, and in another, he hasKid Buuin a headlock while biting him on his head. There are a couple of other action shots as well, showing that the battle between SS3 Goku and Kid Buu will be just as action-packed as the fight was in the original anime adaptation.

The fight between SS3 Goku and Kid Buu inDragon Ball Z: Kakarotwill be one of the few times that players will be able toplay as SS3 Goku. However, there are some other points inDragon Ball Z: Kakarotwhere SS3 Goku will be playable. It’s also possible thatDragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s open world, free-roaming gameplay may allow players to take on the role of SS3 Goku even more than usual.
Ever sinceDragon Ball Z: Kakarotwas announced at Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference, Bandai Namco has been consistently releasing new content and information like this to build hype for the game. And so far, it appears as though this effort is paying dividends for the upcoming action-RPG. Many fans have reacted positively to the game so far, happy to play through theDragon Ball Zstoryline in something that’s more than just yet another fighting game.
IfDragon Ball Z: Kakarotlives up to the hype and is a big success, one has to imagine that Bandai Namco will want to make another game in a similar style. Considering this, Bandai Namco may need to look to storylines fromDragon Ball GTorDragon Ball Superif it wants to make a sequel. Alternatively, maybe it will pursue a prequel based on the originalDragon Ballmanga/anime instead.
