As one might imagine, developer and publisher Techland has been ramping up its marketing for the game, revealing new details about it on its various social media channels.
Recently, the officialDying Light 2Twitter account made the bold claim that fully completing the game would a staggering 500 hours.Dying Light 2taking 500 hours to complete everythingis quite the claim, especially since it took less than 100 hours for players to complete the original game. In any case, this claim aboutDying Light 2’s length has caused some confusion, and so the official Twitter has now offered clarification on the matter.

TheDying Light 2Twitter account has clarified that beating the game’s main story will only take about 20 hours, whereas completing the main story and all ofDying Light 2’s side questswill take about 80 hours total. However, it will take about 500 hours forDying Light 2players to beat the main story, complete all the side quests, experience all the different choices and endings, visit everywhere on the map, discover every piece of dialogue, and find every collectible.
Even though it took gamers less than 100 hours to fully complete the originalDying Lighton average, it does make sense that the sequel is going to take a lot longer. Techland has already said that theDying Light 2map is four times the size of the original game, meaning players have a truly massive open world to explore when the game comes out next month.
