Disney announced across social media that fans could experience the 5th episode ofAhsokaon the big screen on Tuesday, September 12th. They also posted a link where fans can find which theaters are screening the episode near them. The “Midseason Fan Celebration” seems to be coming to only a few select theaters, but those lucky enough to find a screening near them won’t need to pay for a ticket. It is free to see the episode and fans only need to reserve a spot, but it is first come first serve.
For this episode to be screening in theaters it must mean something huge is going to happen. Episode 4 left off on a huge cliffhanger with Ahsoka meeting some version of her former master in the world between worlds. With action sequences sprinkled throughout episode 4, it could be that fans will get a really epic fight that is worthy of the big screen. Alternatively, episode 5 could go in the opposite direction and have less action and more dialogue, but instead, establish something thatcould affect the lore for future projects.
After how amazing episode 4 was and now that episode 5 is going to be shown in select theaters, fans have extremely high expectations for this next episode. The series has heavily focused on different aspects of Star Wars lore. The most recent episode was filled with connections to the animated Star Wars series. With purgils, night sister magic, and most recently the world between worlds,Ahoskahas not been as friendly to new viewersas fans were told before the series aired.
Maybe it is for the better that this series is not as friendly to new viewers, because what fans have been getting is both unique and filled with connections to beloved projects. Hopefully,Ahsokacan continue to impress fans with this next episode.
