Summary

MultipleFallout 4players have reported an issue with stationary vehicles killing their characters. Many deadly creatures exist in theFallout 4Boston wasteland, but players may even encounter landscape clutter that results in their downfall.

Like the otherFallouttitles, theFallout 4bestiaryis full of hostile enemies that can do serious damage. Among these are Behemoths, the Swan, and Deathclaws. Players will encounter their first Deathclaw within the first few hours of gameplay, but The Minutemen will battle alongside them to even the odds. Power Armor can be a useful tool that players can use to defend themselves from these difficult enemies in the Boston Commonwealth. Some players have discovered that there’s a new contender for the strongest enemy, and it may not be what fans expect.

Reddit users TrilobiteBoi and SpongeBob1187 are among manyFallout 4players sharing clips of their characters dying mysteriously. In both cases, their characters run toward derelict cars that are common onFallout’s Boston Commonwealth roadways. Upon reaching these cars, their characters are instantly killed, and they must load an earlier save. Because these cars can kill players in one hit, they’ve quickly become one of the most dangerous things in the open world. AsFallout 4Survivaladds even more restrictions to the game, fans of the game mode may lose even more progress if they experience this bug.

Although many different mines can cause instant kills like these, there are no explosions in these clips. It’s currently unclear precisely what’s killing characters like this, but it’s specific to cars rather than other clutter like mailboxes and newspaper stands. Given that having to load an earlier save can result in lostprogress, this car problem can range in severity. As damaged cars like these have become common inFalloutgames, it’s unlikely that they’ll be removed due to the issue. Though it has been reported in the past, it seems likethisFallout 4car bugis killing more characters than usual, and the issue remains unresolved.

While this is likely a bug that’s tied to the vehicles, it’s currently unclear how long players will have to wait for a resolution. As Bethesda is working on a next-gen patch for the game, some players are expecting a fix in the big update.Fallout 4isn’t the only game with car collision issues, asCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3players have also reported this problemin multiplayer mode.
