On Thursday, May 16, at 7:00 AM Eastern, Letter From the Producer Live Part 81 will air, as the first of two Live Letter broadcasts scheduled ahead ofDawntrail’s release. While previous Live Letterscovered the graphical update forDawntrail, the 81st Live Letter will touch upon combat Job balance heading intoDawntrail. In addition to the highly-anticipated Job action trailer, the new Viper and Pictomancer Jobs, and the planned reworks of the Dragoon and the Astrologian, will likely be among the main topics.

The week following the Live Letter,Final Fantasy 14is planning to release the updatedDawntrailPC benchmark. According toa Lodestone post,FF14producer and director Naoki Yoshida stated the benchmark was scheduled to be updated on the week of May 23 but could not provide an exact date and time. Yoshida said that thanks to reports and feedback from players,the updatedDawntrailbenchmarkwill see changes to the environment of the character creator, and will address issues with character data.

Yoshida reiterated that the changes made to the benchmark will also be part ofDawntrailitself. With abusy slate of events ahead ofDawntrail, both the players and developers ofFinal Fantasy 14will have a busy end to the spring.
