Publisher and developer Square Enix officially reveals the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One digital pre-order bonuses for its forthcoming RPGFinal Fantasy 15.
Now that there’s just a little more than a month left to go beforethe long-awaited release dateforFinal Fantasy 15, Square Enix has decided to give fans a look at what extra features are included in the pre-orders for the game’s costly Digital Premium version. For those unaware, the price difference between the standard, physical iteration ofFinal Fantasy 15and the Digital Premium version is about $25, as the former is going for $60, while the latter is being sold at $85.
Of course, withFinal Fantasy 15releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, fans can expect the Digital Premium version to offer both similar and unique items for the respective platforms. For instance, there will be avatar props on the Microsoft system, while what is being called a “mini soundtrack” is being provided for those playing on Sony’s console.
As far asFinal Fantasy 15’s avatar items on Xbox One go, Square Enix is including male and female costumes for Noctis, in addition toa previously revealed Carbuncle pet prop. Furthermore, players on both platforms will receive an Angler Set, which allows the game’s characters to go fishing. For those wondering, fans who have already purchasedFinal Fantasy 15’sSeason Passwill get all of the items available in the pre-orders for the Digital Premium versions. Not to mention, the players ponying up the extra $25 for the Season Pass should also receive six separate DLC packs, with their dates for availability yet to be divulged.
Interestingly enough, it’s possible thatFinal Fantasy 15may not be restricted to being available only on current generation consoles, as director Hajime Tabata has stated the studio’scontemplation of a PC version. Nevertheless, should the RPG eventually not be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it remains to be seen as to whether or not any of the aforementioned bonuses and items could be applied to the game on PC.
Considering the fact thatFinal Fantasy15has been in development for almost a decade at this point, it’s highly likely that a lot of long-time fans of the franchise will secure their copy of the title before it launches, whether it’s through the standard version or the Digital Premium edition. Should those two choices not suffice, gamers could always try to get their hands on one ofFinal Fantasy 15’sUltimate Collector’s Edition, which has been in high demand since its reveal.
