Rocket League’s Octane vehicle is now available inFortnite’s Battle Royale game mode, and there are a series of quests that encourage players to use it. These are the High Octane Quests, and one of them instructs fans to fly 100 meters continuously in an Octane. For those players that may be struggling with this particular High Octane Quest inFortnite, this guide will provide insight on how to approach it.

Fortnite: Fly 100 Meters Continuously in an Octane

While there are many Octane vehicles scattered acrossFortnite’s map, there is one that is in a particularly good location for the completion of this challenge. Specifically, this vehicle is located on thebeach southeast of Herald’s Sanctum. For full clarity, the position of this vehicle has been marked on the map that is below, and players that are working on this quest are advised to land at it when their matches begin.

Upon finding and entering this vehicle, players should navigate toThe Last Legs, aFortnitelandmarkthat is situated a short distance to thenortheast. There is a Chrome ramp that terminates at this statue on its south side, and fans should drive up it, hitting Boost near its end. This action will send players and their Octanes into an upward draft that surrounds The Last Legs, allowing them to travel further than would be possible if no such draft was present.

All that is left to do now is use the vehicle’s Boost and Jump features to extend the flight for as long as possible. Fortunately, if aFortniteplayerdoes not find success on their first try, they can always return to the ramp below The Last Legs and try again. In fact, this possibility of making multiple attempts is why this particular location is recommended, and players should complete the “fly 100 meters continuously in an Octane” challenge and claim the associated reward after only a few jumps.

To note, there is an Octane on an airborne runway that is slightly southwest ofFortnite’s Reality Tree, and it is another good option for completing this challenge. Indeed, Boosting off the ramp at the end of this runway is often all that it takes to resolve this High Octane quest. That said, this ramp can only be used once per match, due to its position above the map, which can lead to some frustration if a fan’s preliminary jump is not good enough to fly 100 meters.

Fortniteis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
