AGenshin Impactfan has created a concept in which they’ve combined two popular characters from Liyue, Zhongli and Chongyun. HoYoverse pays a lot of attention to detail when it comes to designing their playable characters which makes sense considering that they are the game’s main source of revenue.

Over the last couple of months, each newGenshin Impactupdate has introduced at least one of two new characters with the two Dendro users Baizhu and Kaveh being the most recent additions. Players who want to get either of these characters have three weeks to do so as their banner is scheduled to expire on May 23. The fact that they are placed on the same banner means that Travelers can get both of them by wishing on the same Limited Character Banner.

A Reddit user named CWHardKnight has shared an impressive concept by combining two characters, the Geo Archon Zhonli and the Cryo user Chongyun. In this fanart, the Redditor has combined Chongyun’s base model with Zhongli’s color theme. The concept named Chongli was well-received in the game’s community as the post reached over 4.7k upvotes with many fans claiming that they would definitely spend their Primogems to acquire this newly designed character. CWHardKnight did not mention anything about the character’s rarity, but fans speculate that he would be a five-star unit. Even thoughZhongli is a polearm user, Chongli is using Chongyun’s weapon type, which is claymore. The art can beviewed here.

Some fans have pointed out the fact thatThe Unforged claymoreperfectly fits the new character’s outfit. A couple of comments even claim that they would not be surprised if Chongli’s whole design was inspired by the appearance of this claymore. If Zhongli has this weapon type, The Unforged would probably be one of the go-to choices for his build since its passive provides a powerful buff to shields.

As an Archon, Zhongli serves as the main protector of the whole Liyue region. The official storyline has confirmed that he’s around 6000 years old which makes him the oldest Archon in the game. When it comes to his power on the battlefield, Zhongli is widely considered thestrongest Geo user inGenshin Impact.

The Cryo user Chongyun was born with an excess of positive energy which is why he became a popular exorcist in Liyue. He is a member ofthe famous National Teamwhich is a powerful free-to-play party that also includes Xingqiu, Bennett, and Xiangling.
