A new leak shared by prominentGenshin Impactleaker HomDGCat on Twitter has revealed a new form ofcrowd control used by new four-star character Chevreuse. According to the post,Chevreuse will feature a knock-back mechanicon her Elemental Burst’s secondary shells and her Elemental Skill’s chain explosions that pull enemies towards her. The effect is notably different from the vacuum vortexes created by Anemo characters, only pulling an enemy towards her when casting the ability. The only character inGenshin Impactto feature a similar ability is Yelan with her Elemental Skill.
Chevreuse’s new mechanic comes as leaks have already shared a plethora of details about the new four-star character’s gameplay.Chevreuse is expected to focus around the Overload elemental reaction, reportedly featuring resistance shredding for both Pyro and Electro. The pull-in mechanic on her Elemental Burst would look to combat one of the common player complaints about the Pyro-Electro reaction, with Overload knocking enemies away. Chevreuse will be added toGenshin Impactwith Version 4.3, currently expected to launch on December 20.

AlongsideGenshin Impact’s two newest characters, the RPG is expected to receive several quality-of-life updates with the launch of Version 4.3.Version 4.3 will introduce a “re-deploy” mechanic for Expeditions, allowing players to redeem rewards from Expeditions and send characters back out with one click. The update is also set to feature several changes to Artifacts, including an increase to the material upgrade cap and curated Artifact recommendations for each character. Chevreuse will look to be a powerful addition to an under-utilized team composition with the launch ofGenshin Impact’s next update.
