All North Hogwarts Region Merlin Trials In Hogwarts Legacy
InHogwarts Legacy, the North Hogwarts Region features five distinct Merlin Trials, which can be tackled in any order.
The five Merlin Trials are:
Merlin Trial #1 - Orbs Pillars Puzzle
One of the Merlin Trials in the North Hogwarts Region can be found to the west of theForbidden Forest Waypoint inHogwarts Legacy. This initial challenge involves a straightforward puzzle that requires players to destroy nine orbs.

Typically, these orbs are located near one another and can be easily spotted, especially when casting the Revelio spell. To destroy them, simply castConfringoorBombarda.
Merlin Trial #2 - Brazier Puzzle
To the northeast of Korrow Ruins Floo Flame in the North Hogwarts Region, players can discover a Merlin Trial. Once activated, three brazier pillars will appear, indicating the start of the challenge.
To complete this Merlin Trial, players mustcast Confringo on all three pillars within the assigned time. To avoid running out of time, it’s better to start with the tallest pillar and work their way down to the shortest one.
Merlin Trial #3 - Broken Statue Puzzle
This Merlin Trial is located to the southwest of the Jackdaw’s Tomb Waypoint and can be reached by flying from the Floo Flame Waypoint in the Forbidden Forest. When players activate the Trial, a statue will break, indicating that it must be repaired to solve the puzzle.
There are fourbroken statues scattered aroundthe Merlin Trial location. Similar to most Merlin Trials inHogwarts Legacy, players can cast Revelio to locate the broken statues around the area and castReparoto repair them.
Merlin Trial #4 - Stone Cube Puzzle
This Merlin Trial is west of the Jackdaw’s Tomb Floo Flame, next to a lake with three symbol cubes. Players mustmatch the symbols on the top and bottom cubesby usingFlipendoto change the top cube’s position.

Merlin Trial #5 - Firefly Puzzle
The final MerlinTrial inHogwarts Legacyis located in the far east of the North Hogwarts region. Players will immediately notice three moonstone pillars situated next to the Trial.
To solve this puzzle, find the fireflies and attract them to the Wand usingLumos, a spell that lights up the wand and turns it into a flashlight.Each of the moonstone pillars has a swarm of fireflies behind it. Once players have successfully lured all three swarms of fireflies to the three moonstone pillars, the Merlin Trial is complete.
