Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Paradox Pokemon have quickly become fan favorites, especially the ones that happen to be inspired by the legendaries such as the likes of Iron Crown.
Cobalion’s ancestor, Iron Crown, is a Steel/Psychic type and, unlike some of theother Paradox Pokemon, it cannot be found randomly in Area Zero. Instead, players need to complete a few other objectives before they can encounter, and eventually catch Iron Crown. Apart from the type differences, Iron Crown has a distinct appearance compared to Cobalion, featuring more metallic physical traits. That being said, it still borrows several features and palettes from the leader of Swords of Justice. For players looking to catch Iron Crown inScarlet & Violet, here is all they need to know.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How To Get Iron Crown
Iron Crown is exclusive only toPokemon Violet, and just like the likes ofGouging Fireand Raging Bolt, it will involve meeting an old friend from the Kitakami region. As many would’ve guessed, Iron Crown is tied to thePerrin questline, and players will first need to complete the Kitakami arc and get Bloodmoon Ursaluna. Once that’s done, players can meet Perrin once again in the Savannah Biome Rest Area, and she will give players another task, this time to catch 200 Pokemon from the Blueberry Academy Pokedex. After completing that, players can speak with Perrin to get hints about the location of Iron Crown.
To find Iron Crown, players need to first head to Area Zero. However, instead of going inside the Zero Gate and heading to a Research Station, players simply need to jump off the cliff. This will take them to the starting point in Area Zero. From there, head straight towards the fence in front and roughly halfway through, players should take a left. There will be a fencing towards the left with an elongated hole. Upon jumping inside it, players will find Iron Crow standing right there.

Catching Iron Crown
Iron Crown is weak to Fire, Ground, Ghost, andDark-type moves, so a variety of types will work pretty well against the Pokemon. However, players should not get way too ambitious and knock the Pokemon out accidentally, as it would mean that they will lose any chance of catching it. The catch rate of these Pokemon is notoriously low, so something like False Swipe can be quite crucial in whittling down its HP. When used in conjunction with a sleep-inducing attack, this strategy can be quite deadly to catch the Legendary Pokemon.
