The choices you make inPersona 3 Reloadhave a major effect on the overall ending of the game. There are two different endings you can get, but only one of them is the true ending that allows you to finish up the entire storyline andcomplete any Social Linksor other additional content you might have missed.
As the ending of the story draws near, you’ll need to make a few major decisions on December 31. Making the right decision will allow you to get the true ending, and enjoy an additional month of content. Here’s how you may do this.

How to Get the True Ending in Persona 3 Reload
Ryoji is initially introduced onNovember 9, as a new student who has just transferred to Gekkoukan High School. He is well-liked by the student body and even attempts to form a friendship with the main character.
However, not too long after meeting Ryoji, his true identity becomes apparent. OnDecember 31,Ryoji will visit you in your dorm and discuss the events that are about to occur. To avoid battling Nyx,Ryoji offers to let you kill himto preventthe S.E.E.S membersand the main character from having to fight Nyx, and he will allow them to live their lives peacefully before the Fall occurs. He says if the main character allows him to live, then everyone will have to suffer before eventually dying anyway.
To get the true ending, you will want tospare Ryoji by choosing “Spare Ryoji and stay as is.“After choosing this, he will show you his true shadow form and will ask the same question again. You will want tochoose to spare him yet again,allowing you to continue the story into January.
What the True Ending Affects in Persona 3 Reload
After choosing to spare Ryoji, the story will move on, and you’ll be able to continue playing untilJanuary 31.Within this additional month, you can choose to complete any other tasks you might have neglected before, includingcompleting Social Links and Social Stats,completing some of Elizabeth’s requests, and more.
Eventually, you’ll want tomake your way to the very top of Tartarusas well, where you’ll take on theNyx Avatar.This will serve as the final boss of the game and will lead to the main character sacrificing himself to protect everyone from the Fall.
