Of course, this game is not free as it will need to be purchased to access it. In addition, players will not be immediately thrown into theHot Wheelsaction when they boot upForza Horizon 5. There are a few things to keep in mind when attempting to get on the orange tracks.
Acquiring The Hot Wheels DLC
As mentioned, theHot WheelsDLC is a separate expansion that must be purchased to experience it. In the U.S., the normal price for the new content is $19.99. Those who have a subscription to Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass can purchase it at a slightly lower price of $17.99 but will not get it for free.
Once purchased, make sure to download the expansion before booting up the game. The contents of the expansion are not automatically in the game and just locked away. This is a separate expansion that must be installed after purchase. Once downloaded, players can fire up the game on their ownor with a friend.

Returning players can hop right into the DLC by heading to the northern portion of the map. Near the northwest base of the La Gran Caldera volcano, players should see aHot Wheelslogo. Drive to this exact location, and they will be prompted to head into the newly-addedHot Wheelsarea.
Players will then go through a similar action-packed sequence that they experienced at the start ofForza Horizon 5, only this time in the skies above Mexico on classic orange and blue toy tracks. After this series of events, players can do whatever they please inthis racing sandbox. If players are struggling with trying to access theHot WheelsDLC, make sure it is fully installed before launching the game. If there is still trouble, check to see ifForza Horizon 5needs to be updated as well as that could prevent the expansion from working properly.
