The newPlayStation Plustiers launch next month, and yesterday Sony finally revealed some of the games available in each category. Sony had only revealed a few games from thePlayStation Pluscatalog when it first announced the revamp, but fans now have a much better idea of what they can expect from the service.

A user named kabirsingh84 shares an image comparing the catalog ofgames offered under each of the new PS Plus tiers. It lists them in order, from Essential to Premium, and even includes Deluxe. As seen in the image, the Essential category is the same as the current version of PlayStation Plus. Perhaps kabirsingh84 could have included all the features of the Essential tier to help newcomers make a better comparison, but it likely would’ve made the image more cluttered.
Next up is the Extra tier, which comes with a catalog of hundreds of games from first-party studios and third-party partners. This list includesDemon’s Souls,Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales,Returnal,Red Dead Redemption 2, andMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Kabirsingh84 also mentions that thePS Plus Extra tier includes Ubisoft+ Classics, a new service that lets fans play 27 Ubisoft games on launch, includingAssassin’s Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft confirmed that this number would increase to 50 games by the end of 2022, along with plans to bring the full Ubisoft+ service to PlayStation and Xbox.
Following this are the Deluxe and Premium tiers, and most of the confusion probably lies in the difference between the two. As the note at the top of the image shows,Deluxe is the same as PS Plus Premiumexcept for the ability to stream PS3 games. Sony created this tier for regions where streaming services are unavailable, and it will be offered at a reduced cost.
The post does a great job of comparingthe different PlayStation Plus tiersin a simple and easy-to-understand manner. The only thing missing is the Price, but that information is available on the official PlayStation website, and it also differs between regions. Perhaps Sony will look into making a detailed chart themselves that compares all the PS Plus tiers closer to launch.
