Even with this unfortunate situation, CI Games has already ensured thatLords of the Fallenwill have a sequel, as indicated in afinancial document. The document shows that CI Games signed a contract with Epic Games to ensure the exclusive distribution of the sequel toLords of the Fallenfor PC. Everything indicates thatLords of the Fallen 2, or perhapsDeath of the Fallen, will be skipping Steam, at least on launch. Meanwhile, the right to distribute the IP on other platforms, such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, remains with CI Games.

Lords of the Fallen Sequel Will Be Epic Games Exclusive on PC

It’s not uncommon for Epic to make deals with developers to keep PC games exclusive to its ecosystem, especially when it’s the publisher, as withAlan Wake 2. Still, many Epic-exclusive games have ended up on Steam. CI Games has published 2023’sLords of the Fallenon several platforms.
