Unlike various other shows that explore women as little more than love interests, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures does more than that by portraying its women as forces capable of trampling all that stands in their way. InPart 6 (Stone Ocean) of the franchise, Jolyne Kujo stands out for this, and the cast is primarily female-dominated, showing just how formidable and resilient these women can be. The best women in the Jojo franchise have a lot of great features, whether it be for their daring nature or even for their familial support. While the Jojo’s rule the show, various women have helped define them and their adventures, showing how irreplaceable they are.
10Tomoko Higashikata
The Devoted Mother Of Josuke Higashikata
As the single mother of Josuke,Tomokoplays a role that’s not usually present in most shonen anime:A present and responsible mother. Tomoko always strives to do her best for her son, always thinking ahead of how he’ll live his life. Like most women married to the Jojo’s, Tomoko is strong-willed and doesn’t give in to what she doesn’t want or like.
Even after her separation from Joseph Joestar, Tomoko remained deeply in love with him, even hugging Jotaro Kujo and mistaking him for her separated love. Without a doubt, Tomoko’s role in Josuke’s life is irreplaceable, and she sets herself apart by always putting her son and his future first.
9Erina Pendleton
A Graceful Lady With An Unyielding Will
Unlike various other prominentJoJo’s Bizarre Adventureswoman,Erina Pendleton’smotivations and character weren’t deeply explored in the series, but even then, she still stands out. As the wife and love interest of Jonathan Joestar, Erina showed great strength by not ending her life on the same boat where Jonathan died, but by living on and saving a young Lisa Lisa.
As a character, Erina was every bit the proper lady, but that didn’t diminish her strong will, as seen when she rinsed her mouth with mud water after Dio had forcefully kissed her. In that scene, Erina rejects Dio despite him overpowering her, showing that she isn’t scared of the tyrant. Eventually, as seen in Part 2, Erina becomes the grandmother of Joseph Joestar, and while she isn’t involved in battles, her presence is felt.
8Yukako Yamagishi
A Woman Willing To Cross Any Line For Love
Yukakois arguably the progenitor of the Yandere archetype. Her initial role in the series suggests that she is highly psychotic and willing to do anything to get Koichi Hirose, her love interest, including kidnapping and killing him. Due to her very violent tendencies, not many like Yukako, and even Koichi becomes wary of her.
However, after Josuke, the protagonist ofDiamond is Unbreakabledefeats her, Koichi saves and accepts her, and she turns from her dangerous ways. Despite her less-than-ideal attitude, as she and Koichi love each other, Josuke accepts her, and the two seem to get along. As a character,Yukako also possesses a Stand, which allows her to manipulate her hair.
7Reimi Sugimoto
The Ghost Who Impacts The Living
As a ghostrather than the more commonly portrayed stand-user,Reimi’scharacter in theJojoseries is a unique one. Introduced in the fourth part of the series,Diamond is Unbreakable, Reimi haunts the town of Morioh, trying to protect the residents from the dangerous Stand users who threaten their safety.
Even in death, Reimi left an indelible mark on the show. She aids Josuke, the series' protagonist, in his fight against the villainous Yoshikage Kira through a number of ghostly antics that frequently have an impact on the living. Josuke learns the grim history of Morioh Town and the motivation behind Reimi’s continued service to the town’s residents through his conversation with Reimi.

Yasuho Hirose, the female protagonist ofJojolion, the eighth part of the series, is a resourceful woman who aids Josuke on his quest to discover himself after he lost his memories. In supporting Josuke, Yasuho plays an active role in coming up with solutions to solve various issues that the duo encounter.
One of the most striking aspects of Yasuho’s character is her intelligence and ability to gather information. As the deuteragonist ofJojolion, Yasuho’s character, and multifaceted complexity make her stand out from other females in theJojofranchise. Furthermore, Yasuho and Josuke develop romantic feelings for each other, which just makes fans love her all the more.
5Trish Una
From Vulnerable To Confident Stand User
Trishwas initially presented as an affluent, snobbish, high-class lady who rudely acted to cover her vulnerabilities. Spending time with Bruno Bucciarati’s crew, though, helps her come to grips with a lot of things and welcome her new friends.
Trish eventually gets her own fully sentient stand, which has the ability to make things soft, making them hard to fight against. As Trish goes through many things in the fifth part ofJoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Vento Aureo, in which she is portrayed, she becomes a teenage characterwith loads of potentialthat fans love to see.
4Ermes Costello
The Fierce Protector With A Soft Side
Brutal, violent, and soft is a combination that is rarely seen in anime characters butErmes Costellohas it all. Ermes appears in the sixth part ofJojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Stone Ocean,alongside the protagonist, Jolyne Kujo. Throughout the series, Ermes proves herself a skilled fighter with impeccable resilience, as seen when she could still stand and move about after her liver had been removed.
Jolyne was wrongfully incarcerated, and Ermes visited her there. Ermes had the resolve to get even with those who wronged her, along with the fighting abilities and stoicism to back it up. Ermes, despite her tough and rude demeanor, is very protective of her companions and will put herself in harm’s way to ensure their safety.
3Lisa Lisa
A Respected Icon Of Strength And Composure
Elizabeth Joestar, more commonly calledLisa, is an important persona inJojo’s Bizarre Adventures: Battle Tendency, where she is portrayed. In the series, Lisa Lisa was a great hamon user and trained Josephand Caesar Zeppelihow to use hamon effectively. Respected by both males and females, Lisa Lisa was portrayed as a brave woman who did not let her emotions rule her decisions.
Lisa Lisa was eventually revealed to beJoseph Joestar’s mother, and she contributed immensely to his life. Overall, her refined manner and fearless outlook on life make her one of the most admirable female characters in the anime.

The Unstoppable Force Without A Stand
Introduced in the seventh part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventureanime series,Steel Ball Run,Lucy Steelquickly sets herself apart from the other female characters with her cunning intelligence, fierce determination, and unwavering loyalty. One of her key aspects is the way she plays a pivotal role inSteel Ball Run,being the channel through which many of the protagonists' and antagonists' storylines come together.
As an intricate character, Lucy shows that she is more than just the passive wife of Steven Steel and puts herself in many dangerous situations to make her husband’s dream a reality. To this extent, she constantly puts herself in danger by showing her badass and courageous sides while even defeating some enemies despite not being a stand user.

The Ultimate Female JoJo
With beauty, brains, and brawn,Jolyne Kujostands as the only femaleJojoprotagonist, appearing as the protagonist ofJojo’s Bizarre Adventure’s sixth part,Stone Ocean. As the daughter of Jotaro Kujo, the Jojo protagonist ofStardust Crusaders, Jolyne displays many traits similar to those of her father.
Like her father, Jolyne has a righteous sense of self and often helps people in need, friends or not. With her stand Stone Free, Jolyne kicks asses andbattles against Dio’s most trusted disciple, Enrico Pucci. As the only female Jojo, Jolyne stands as one of the best females ever portrayed to date in theJojoanime series.
