Summary
Despite being influenced by theSoulslike sub-genrein terms of its brutal gameplay, there are still plenty of other areas whereLies of Pstrays from the classic Souls formula to create an experience that feels new, fresh, and unique. One such example of this is the defense parts which act in much the same way as armor pieces intheSoulsgames, but since they aren’t pieces of clothing, they won’t have an impact on the way Pinocchio looks.
Rather than players needing to equip a big bulky chest piece or rusty-looking gauntlet to raise their defense, they are free to choose any one of the many costumes available inLies of Psince this isn’t what will determine how protected Pinocchio will be from enemy attacks. Instead, there are four different defense parts that Pinocchio can equip inLies of P, and while the Frames may seem like the most inconsequential since they only provide physical damage resistance, they’re still well worth seeking out since Pinocchio is inevitably going to receive more than a few whacks during his adventure.

6Lada F150 Frame
Despite being so light, the Lada F150 Frame provides a decent amount of protection, which will enable Pinocchio to survive an extra hit in most combat scenarios. Because the Frame can be found soearly on in the game, it is worth making a detour to pick it up since the lack of Legion Arms and weapons parts at this point means that Pinocchio will need to use every tool he finds to help keep him alive.
When reaching the chest that contains this Frame though, it can be worth keepingthe Puppet Stringhandy and using it to separate the small groups of enemies that will be guarding it. The Puppet Marksman can be especially annoying to deal with, so pulling him close with the Legion Arm and finishing him off can make the journey a lot easier.

5Workshop Union Strengthening Frame
One of the mostvisually stunning areasin the entire game, the St. Frangelico Cathedral Library contains more than a few secrets within its walls, but one useful resource that can be found by heading up from the Stargazer is the Workshop Union Strengthening Frame. It’s quite easy to miss this Frame if players don’t take the time to explore their surroundings once they reach this area, but since no enemies are protecting it, it’s always a good idea to grab it on the way.
Players should know that there are a staggering 17 collectible items scattered around the St. Frangelico Cathedral Library, which can all make Pinocchio’s life much easier when coming up against the many monstrosities that reside in Krat. So long as the player has enough space in their inventory, theyshould definitely loot this area, which is essentially a gold mine in terms of resources.

4Arch Heavyweight Frame
This Frame will require a little bit ofhacking and slashingto get to, but considering just how much protection it offers, it’s a good idea to not skip over it. Once Pinocchio reaches the top of the staircase, he will need to cross a bridge that will overlook a few flames. Upon getting close to the door, there will be a fewPuppet Baby enemiesthat will attempt to stop Pinocchio from reaching the tall safe.
These guys are as agile as they are deadly, so keeping a safe distance and picking them off one by one is the much safer way to go as opposed to rushing in which can inevitably lead to Pinocchio getting surrounded and even stun-locked. So long as players know what they can come to expect though, this Frame is fairly easy to obtain and great to keep around for the areas ahead.

3Lada F250 Frame
The Lada F250 Frame is incredibly easy to miss out on if players are focused on sprinting through the unnerving Lorenzini Arcade as fast as possible. Finding the Frame is only one part of the challenge though as upon dropping to where the Frame is located, players will be met with amenacing Carcass enemythat can be quite tricky to take down.
The limited amount of space also makes this fight a little difficult, especially for those wielding large greatswords who can easily get their weapon caught on the walls if they’re not careful. Anyone usinga faster buildshould be able to keep up with the speed of the Carcass to interrupt its attacks, but those using heavier weapons should try to avoid its slashes before taking it down from behind.

2Arch Extra Heavyweight Frame
This Frame is much easier to get to if players have already opened up the shortcut near the Abandoned Apartments. Otherwise, Pinocchio will have to take a few detours and shortcuts to be able to find it. Luckily, it’s not too difficult to seek out when teleporting tothe area’s Stargazersince there are a few key landmarks along the way that will let the player know that they’re on the right track.
Once players stumble across the Wandering Merchant, they should attempt to steer to the right and look out for a slanted building. All that’s required from then on is to search through the buildings until the Bulging Head Carcass enemy finally appears. Upgraded weapons are essential for taking down this enemy, but the fight can also be pretty straightforward if players make use of ranged Legion Arms such as Flamberge and Falcon Eyes, which will ensure Pinocchio doesn’t get caught up in a whirlwind of attacks.

1Lada F350 Frame
The most difficult Frame in the game to find, but also by far the best in terms of protection, getting to the Lada F350 can feel a lot like an obstacle course which willdefinitely take more than a few attemptsto get to. Aside from the countless Carcass enemies who will be protecting the path, there are also plenty of hidden traps that can easily throw Pinocchio off, so it’s best to take this area nice and slow to avoid any unfortunate accidents.
As for the High-Level Alchemist Badge, this can be picked up after defeating the gigantic Door Guardian mini-boss at Arche Abbey. Since he’s not an optional boss, players won’t have to worry about having totravel back to previous areasto find the badge since most people will pick it up and completely forget about it, unaware that its purpose is to unlock one of the best defensive pieces in the game.
