Today, BioWare has now allowed even moreMass Effect: Andromedafootage to be released online, as the latest gameplay video focuses on the attributes of the title’sNomad vehicleand the various upgrades that can be applied to it. For those just now diving into the promotional materials for the forthcoming science fiction shooter who believe the Nomad seems familiar, it’s likely due to the fact that the unit is a more or lessa new version of the Makofrom the franchise’s previous entries.
As seen below in the video courtesy of IGN, one of the most important features of the Nomad relates to players' ability to call it down from wherever they have a forward operating base. Then, fans can commandeer the vehicle and use it to explore practically every nook and cranny ofMass Effect: Andromeda’s various planets to search for resources to mine, to find enemies to fight, or to simply go joyriding.
Also highlighted in theMass Effect: Andromedavideo above are the upgrades that will be available to the Nomad, including six-wheel drive, which allows players to more easily traverse across steeper terrain much more quickly than before. Other upgrades for the vehicle include a handbrake for better control, extra shields for ample defense and protection, as well as an improved boost to movethe Ryder twinsand their respective crews across planets' surfaces.
While this latestMass Effect: Andromedavideo provides a great idea of all of the Nomad’s features, some fans might want to get an even better look at what kind of environments they will be touring while using the vehicle. Should that be the case, BioWare just recently published another clip featuringexploration gameplaythat shows the Nomad trekking across the ice planet Voeld, the mountainous orb of Kadara, and the desert plains of Eos.
Taking all of this into consideration, it’s a safe bet to make thatMass Effect: Andromedafans are raring to go when it comes to getting behind the controls of the Nomad. After all, withmore than 100 planets to explore, theAndromedatransport vehicle is going to afford players the opportunity to quickly gain ground during exploration and will undoubtedly help them discover the environments' secrets much faster than when on foot.
