It has been almost two months since theMortal Kombat 11release date, and many players have been spending their time mastering their favoriteMortal Kombat 11charactersand testing their skills against one another in online combat. For those that are most interested in this type of online competitive play, the newly detailedMortal Kombat 11Kombat League may be of interest, as it looks to improve the experience by offering performance based rewards to those that compete.

As outlined in a briefMortal Kombat 11Kombat League trailer, theMK11Kombat League is a four-week-long, seasonal ranked mode that will pit online combatants against each other in best two out of three sets. Winning a set grants the victor with points, and these points will continually move players up in the ranks of theMortal Kombat 11Kombat League. There are nine ranked levels in theMK11Kombat League, and all players will begin at the Apprentice rank and battle their way towards the rank of Elder God.

With respect to rewards, each time a player obtains a new rank in theMortal Kombat 11Kombat League, they will earn exclusive cosmetics. TheseMK11cosmeticscan only be obtained through performance in the Kombat League, and it is notable that these rewards will be granted, at the end of each season, based on the highest rank a player achieved. This means that players do not need to be concerned about rank loss altering their ultimate rewards in theMK11Kombat League.

Furthermore, there will be additional opportunities for players to obtain rewards by way of daily and seasonal quests. These quests can range from simply participating in ranked sets to fulfilling specified criteria, such as spilling a certain amount of blood, and many fans will certainly be happy to find more prizes associated with competitive play.

The first Kombat League is theMortal Kombat 11Season of Blood, and it is set to begin tomorrow, June 18. As indicated by the trailer for theMK11Season of Blood, the Kombat League is the “best place for everyone to play competitiveMortal Kombat,” and it may help keep players engaged as they await the release of theMortal Kombat 11DLC characters.
