TheOne Piecemanga has been releasing one outstanding chapter after another. It is fair to say thatOne Piecefans have been pleasantly surprised with the developments in the arc. The last few chapters of the Egghead arc have mainly focused on the action taking place away from Vegapunk’s laboratory. Previously, the manga covered the confrontation between Eustass Kid and Shanks. Unsurprisingly, Shanks emerged the victor after defeating Kid with a single attack.
Then the onus changed to Hachinosu, where Koby had escaped and then helped other captives get out as well. Oncethe Blackbeard Pirates found outabout Koby’s escape, they began to search for him. But before they could recapture him, the Marines arrived on the island. The upholders of justice had many notable characters in their ranks, including Prince Grus, Kujaku, Helmeppo, and Hibari. But the person who stole the headlines was Monkey D. Garp. The pirates on Hachinosu were mortified after seeing the Hero of the Marines in the flesh.

The Marines Onslaught
The Marines came to Hachinosu to rescue Koby from the clutches of the Blackbeard Pirates. The Marine Captain had been captured by the nefarious pirates in Amazon Lily. Koby had been sent by the organization to capture Boa Hancock, but the former Shichibukaiwasn’t going to go down so easily. She used the power of the Mero Mero no Mi to petrify several Marines. However, before the fight could reach its conclusion, the Blackbeard pirates turned up at Amazon Lily. They had come to the location in order to steal Boa Hancock’s Devil Fruit. However, they hadn’t envisioned that Hancock was going to overwhelm most of them effortlessly, except for Blackbeard. The Yonko used the power of his Yami Yami no Mi to nullify the power of Hancock’s devil fruit.
With Hancock at the mercy of Blackbeard, Koby had to intervene before the situation got out of hand. The Marine Captain tried to reason with Blackbeard, but the latter was not willing to let Hancock go. Thankfully, Rayleigh was present on the island and forced Blackbeard to leave. However, the Yonko didn’t leave empty-handed and took Koby with him; little did he know that it would entail serious consequences.

The Big War
When Garp found out about his protege being kidnapped, he went to the G-14 Base to recruit potential candidates for the rescue team. At that time, it seemed that only Helmeppo and Hibari were going to accompany Garp. But in Chapter 1080, it was revealed that Garp had plenty of support. Upon his arrival, Garp used Galaxy Impact to destroy a large part of Hachinosu. The Blackbeard Pirates did not get involved, but it only seemed like a matter of time before one of the older members stopped the Vice-Admiral. Much to the surprise of everyone, it was Aokiji who got involved and froze Hibari. Shortly afterward, Aokiji was confirmed as the Captain of the Tenth Ship, and it was revealed how he joined the Blackbeard Pirates.

Garp asked Aokiji to step down and rejoin the Marines, but the latter turned down the invitation. Aokiji tried to freeze Garp with Ice Ball, but his senior managed to free himself. He followed it up with an attack named Blue Hole to send Aokiji crashing into the ground.
Who Will Win?
The two Marines have a lot of history, so the fight is going to be emotional. Considering both of them are extremely powerful, it is tough to make a guess about the potential winner of the fight. To make a better guess, it is important to observe their abilities under a microscope. When it comes to keeping a cool head in the most heated situations, there are not many people who are better than Aokiji. The former Admiral possesses the Hie Hie no Mi, aLogia-type Devil Fruitthat allows him to create and control ice. Aokiji has used the Devil Fruit’s power many times for both offensive and defensive purposes. It was because of his efforts in the Summit War that the Marines weren’t instantly wiped out by the tsunamis created by Whitebeard. Aokiji is also able to use Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki. It is currently unknown whether he has Haoshoku Haki or not, but it will become clear in the next chapters.
Monkey D. Garp is nothing short of a living legend. In his prime, Garp was the only Marine capable of fighting Gol D. Roger. Garp has all three types of Haki, and like all strong characters, Garp has demonstrated elite control over his Haki. His Haoshoku Haki imbued punch was potent enough to destroy multiple buildings with ease. When Aokiji tried to freeze him, Garp used his Haki to break out. While he managed to land a hit on Aokiji, it is highly unlikely that the former Admiral will stay down. The intensity will pick up in the upcoming chapters, and fans will get to see who wins the fight. Garp has admitted that he has become weaker over time, but he is stillamong the strongest characters in the series. Keeping in mind both their abilities, it makes sense to bet on Garp winning. However, Aokiji won’t make it easy for Garp, so the latter will have to work hard.
