ThePokemoncreation is made of wood, and is designed to act as a seat for the Switch and its dock, rather than replacing the entire unit. As a result, no harm comes to the Switch or the dock, and fans of Squirtle can give their dock a makeover.
While plenty of Nintendo Switch fans use things like Nintendo Switch skins to spruce up their dock or console, decals are generally flat. Most officiallimited edition Nintendo Switch designsare, as well. However, given the nature of woodworking, a side view of the Squirtle base reveals its three-dimensional design. Portions of the Squirtle’s face are raised, while others are grooves, like the lines of its mouth and nose. A video shared by the creator also shows how the base was designed, cut, and assembled. Fans of the creation were curious if the Squirtle or any other Pokemon were available for sale. Albayr51 does sell these products, and takes commission requests.
