Since its release in Gen 1, it has become quite popular among fans. Recently, one artistic gamer decided to pay tribute to this classic Pokemon in an intriguing piece of art.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as xthememoryshopx shared a picture of a unique wood piece they created based on thePokemonseries. Specifically, this woodwork stood out because it was carved in the shape of Gengar. Besides being made in the shape of the shadow-like Pokemon, the artist engraved a spooky scene on the front of the wood. In the image, Gengar could be seen in a slight clearing, surrounded by leafless trees. In addition, another set of eyes was barely visible in the middle of the engraving for those looking carefully.
While this Gengar wood piece is doubtlessly impressive, it is far from the only artwork made by xthememoryshopx. They have created many other wood pieces on Reddit for those interested in seeing more of the work crafted by the creator. Some examples of their past creations include woodwork featuringSuper Mario, DC Comics, andStar Warsthemes. Each of these pieces featured the same level of craftsmanship seen in the custom Gengar artwork.
Unsurprisingly, numerousmembers of thePokemoncommunitytook notice of this incredible Gengar wood piece on Reddit. With over 1.6K upvotes in less than a day, many were impressed by the finished product. Among the comments from gamers, many liked the level of detail the artist was able to add to the wood engraving. “A simple yet beautiful piece of art, the better kind of art,” Loliberto said on Reddit. In addition, some people enjoyed the artwork so much that they thought that xthememoryshopx should consider selling replicas of it.
While it might be hard to top this Gengar wood piece made by xthememoryshopx, it is not the only artwork created by passionatePokemonfans in recent days. For example, another gamer recently decided to make aportrait of Gengar using threads and nails. It will be interesting to see what other creations are made by artistic gamers in the weeks ahead.
