Today is the day thatPokemon GOplayers have been waiting for, as Gen 5 Pokemon have finally been introduced and added to the roster. This includes new Gen 5 starters, Gen 5 region-exclusive Pokemon, and newGen 5 raid bosses. In total, there were 18 Pokemon added to the mobile ARG, not counting evolved forms.

Perhaps the most exciting additions are the Gen 5 starters, as these Pokemon are iconic in every generation. Gen 5 includes the Grass-type Snivy which evolves into Servine and Serperior, the Fire-type Snivy which evolves into Pignite and Emboar, and the Water-type Oshawott which evolves into Dewott and Samurott. While not every starter ends up being a fan-favorite, there’s little doubt that manyPokemon GOplayers will be adding these to their collection.

Pokemon GO’s region exclusive Pokemon, a concept that has lasted since the early days of the mobile ARG, for Gen 5 were also revealed. First up are the various Pan-monkey Pokemon: the Grass-type Pansage can be caught in Asia, the Fire-type Pansear can be caught in Europe/Middle East/Africa/India, andPokemon GOplayers in Greenland/the Americas will be able to catch the Water-type Panpour.

Alongside the aforementioned monkey Pokemon, there is one more region-exclusive pair: Heatmor and Durant. Heatmor can be caught in the western hemisphere, while Durant can be caught in the east. This isn’t altogether too surprising, as Heatmor eat Durant in a relationship not too different from Seviper and Zangoose. Regardless, here is the complete list ofgen 5 Pokemonthat can currently be caught inPokemon GO.
