Summary
Pokemon Legends: Z-Acan finally make good on a possibility that was first raised 11 years ago inPokemon X and Y. WithPokemon Legends Z-Afollowing up on the successfulPokemon Legends: Arceus, there are plenty of reasons to feel optimistic about the game. The game’s new setting and apparent theme also provide a lot of new possibilities. In particular, one piece of cut content fromPokemon X and Ycould finally end up becoming a part of the game proper. When it comes toPokemon Legends: Z-A, Nintendo could have a major opportunity on its hands.
The presentation thatrevealedPokemon Legends: Z-Afor the Switchdid not go deep into the plot, but it did reveal a few pieces of vital information. Most notably, it establishes the setting of the game as Kalos, specifically its largest city, Lumiose City. While the Kalos games may not have been the biggest in the franchise, it is a region with a lot of history in-game, so it makes sense as a choice for aPokemon Legendstitle. It still isn’t clear whether the game will take place in Kalos' past or future. Either way, the trailer set the stage for a unique adventure.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the Perfect Time to Feature Eternal Flower Floette
AZ’s Floette Was Memorable in Pokemon X and Y
One notable figure in Kalos' history isAZ fromPokemon X and Y. Formerly the king of Kalos, the loss of his beloved Floette in a war caused him to create a superweapon that sacrificed thousands of lives to revive her, causing her to leave in disgust. He would wander Kalos for 3,000 more years before he finally earned her forgiveness. AZ is an unusual character in the series for several reasons, from his massive size to his long-lived status. That is a major reason why he and his Floette proved to be so memorable despite not being the main focus ofX and Y.
Eternal Flower Floette Never Actually Debuted in the Games
AZ’s Floette deserves special mention, and one way forPokemon Legends: Z-Ato fulfill a longtime wishwould be by finally making it obtainable. AZ’s Floette was a unique version known as Eternal Flower Floette, complete with its own color scheme. Data for Eternal Flower Floette is in the game files forPokemon X and Y, but there is no way to obtain it in-game. Even several generations later, no game has featured Eternal Flower Floette in any capacity, leaving it impossible to obtain legitimately. After 11 years of being unavailable,Pokemon Legends: Z-Acould finally make Eternal Flower Floette legitimately obtainable for players.
Eternal Flower Floette is a Truly Unique Specimen Among Pokemon
Eternal Flower Floette was more than simply a new color scheme. While it cannotevolve like other Floettes inPokemon, Eternal Flower Floette has higher stats than normal, with its 125 Special Attack, 128 Special Defense, and 92 Speed being most notable, making it a decent special sweeper. It also has a signature move, Light of Ruin, with 140 base power, the highest of any Fairy-type move. However, just like Eternal Flower Floette, Light of Ruin has never actually been made available to players.Pokemon Legends A-Zcould finally bring both a long-lost Pokemon and move to players with Eternal Flower Floette.
Even several generations later, no game has featured Eternal Flower Floette in any capacity, leaving it impossible to obtain legitimately.
