A newPokemon Scarlet and Violetupdate has fixed the Gimmighoul raid issue along with some other reported problems.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwere launched with several issues that affected gameplay like drastic frame rate dips, parts of the map that players could fall through, and more, but this Gimmighoul raid bug has been resolved. There are three separate paths thatPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers can take to experience the game, with Path of Legends featuring Titan Pokemon, Starfall Street focusing on Team Star, and Victory Road being thetraditionalPokemonexperience. Given thatPokemon Scarlet and Violetwere released with glitches that affected all three adventures in the game, Nintendo has been working to patch the Gen 9 games. Because Gimmighoul is one of the coveted Pokemon inPokemon Scarlet and Violetdue to the coin collection aspect of the game, some players have noticed a problem with raids associated with the Pokemon.RELATED:Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Reveal New DLC Details, Launch Surprise Special EventSerebii webmaster Joe Merrick has confirmed the latestPokemon Scarlet and Violetupdate includes a fix for the Gimmighoul raids that displayed the Pokemon with an item. According to Merrick, thePokemon Scarlet and Violetcoding had a null value rather than a zero one applied to Gimmighoul in its raids which created the possibility forthe Ghost-type Pokemonto reward players with multiple items at the conclusion of the match. OncePokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers boot up the game, the hotfix should be applied, ensuring that Gimmighoul raids produce the appropriate number of items.

Merrick also included a pre-patch screenshot of Gimmighoul being captured from aPokemon Scarlet and Violetraid, with Grass Tera Shards, Nuggets, Swift Feathers, and multiple EXP Candies. This image emphasizes the problem withPokemon Scarlet and Violetprior to the update and players may not encounter the plethora of reagents again. Responding to a concernedPokemon Scarlet and Violetfan, Merrick also confirmed that another raid that had a similar error was suffering from a different issue on the back end rather than the null item value with Gimmighoul.

Because manyPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers may have benefited from Gimmighoul raids inadvertently offering items, some may see a decline in how many they receive moving forward. With several players already having completedPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Gimmighoulraid prior to the hotfix, it’s currently unclear how much of the community benefited from the error.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetare available now for Nintendo Switch.
