There’s an Evil Morty inRick and Morty, and now there’s more than one Evil Rick— or to be more precise, there’s now Eviler Rick. Season 6 has expanded the show’s lore, and it’s starting to look more and more like a bonafide series instead of just a sitcom. Usually, most series need a villain, and apart fromEvil Morty, Rick isn’t backing down from the competition.

Bootleg Portal Chemist Rick (1)

With the formal introduction of Rick Prime inRick and Morty, the show has gone into the depths of just how evil the various Ricks can be. While the previous seasons seem intent on painting Rick C-137 as an antihero who sometimes tiptoes into villainy, in hindsight, he pales in comparison to these certain of Ricks. Because as far as genius eggheads go, they’re the rotten eggs.

8Bootleg Portal Chemist Rick

As far asevil Ricksgo, Bootleg Portal Chemist Rick is just the tip of the iceberg. Viewers can first spot him in iconic “The Ricklantis Mixup,” which focuses on the Citadel and its inner workings. Just as there were criminal Mortys in its society, so too were there criminal Ricks.

One of them seems to have sunk too much into whatever made them intoxicated and fried his brains in the process. Hence, Bootleg Portal Chemist Rick. He’s clearly not as bright or as coordinated as the usual Rick. He ended up killing himself by testing his bootleg portal fluid, but not before suggesting his disturbing relationship with Morty gangs.

7Robot Evil Rick

Technically, this one is an Evil Morty creation but seeing as it’s a Rick in behavior and status, well, it’s clearly a Rick. He has the mind of a Rick, though it’s not clear how much of that was Evil Morty’s responsibility.

Teacher Rick

In any case, thisnotorious Season1 preliminary villain has carried out some heinous crimes at Evil Morty’s behest. He abducted tons of Mortys, killed numerous Ricks, and terrorized several dimensions of Smiths. He did all that in order to cloak himself through torturing his kidnapped Mortys.

6Teacher Rick

He doesn’t seem to have killed anyone, but Teacher Rick has done more damage to Mortys compared to most other Ricks. That’s because he’s tasked with educating the Mortys of the Citadel. Sure enough, his curriculum involves indoctrinating the Mortys into subservience and conformity.

They’re only allowed to have one point of view, and among those rules is to regard the Ricks as superior, hence the culture and tradition in the Citadel. But among his students is Slow Rick. The latter isn’t insulated from Teacher Rick’s bullying, which is disturbing because Slow Rick' is obviously mentally handicapped.

Rick D. Sanchez III

5Rick D. Sanchez III

All business Ricks are deplorable and powerful, yet Rick D. Sanchez III takes the cake for being the stereotypical business magnate oligarch. He’s the owner of Simple Rick’s Wafers and Simple Rick’s Wafer Cookie factory. He’s also a member of the Shadow Council of Ricks.

SEAL Team Ricks

The way the factory makes those wafers is by profiteering off the brain juices of hapless, clueless slave Ricks who are placed into a comatose state and figuratively milked like cows. Like a true evil businessman, Rick D. Sanchez III has no remorse or regard for his workers' safety and welfare.

4SEAL Team Ricks

SEAL Team Ricks is the elite group of commandos the Council sent in order to dispatch and deal with Rick C-137. This was due to the latter having escaped theGalactic Federation Prison. They did so in order to preserve the secrets of the portal fluid from falling into Federation hands.

While they’re just the rabid dogs of the Council, it’s hard to pretend that they’re free of blame here. Viewers can easily assume that SEAL Team Ricks regularly carried out some shady wet work based on the Council’s agendas. Why else would they exist?

Council of Ricks (1)

3Council of Ricks

Seemingly a parody of Marvel’s Council of Reeds fromThe Fantastic Four, the Council of Ricks is the authoritarian collective that rules over the Citadel. As expected, they’re about as narcissistic, sociopathic, and selfish as thetypical Rick.

So when a group of them presided over the highest seat on the Citadel, their laws and policies were made to serve the interest of Ricks. Hence, the Mortys in the Citadel always get the short end of the stick as the Council members are so intent on preserving the status quo. Oh, and they also tried to kill Rick C-137 over paranoia.

2Fascist Rick

Turns out the Council of Ricks weren’t the most oppressive Ricks on the show. Because when Rick tapped into the resurrection vats of other Ricks to revive himself, he kept ending up in the garages of Fascist Ricks. It does make sense; fascists tend to want to prolong their lives to preserve their rule, hence the vats.

The first Fascist Rick was even troublesome, and he helped his country sterilize another. That’s probably what happens if a Rick becomes too involved with politics. In any case, what’s even worrying is that there are several of them on the show.

1Rick Prime

Season 6 recently revealed that Rick C-137 is not exactly the Rickest Rick. Most Ricks are just being nihilistic as some form of defense mechanism to hide away theiremotional pain. Rick Prime, on the other hand, is genuinely nihilistic, making him the real Rickest Rick.

He’s the root of it all for Rick C-137. His wanton murder of Diane and Beth Sanchez led to Rick chasing and killing other versions of himself in an attempt to exact revenge. He’s also the reason why Beth has severe abandonment issues. It remains to be seen what Rick Prime has in store or if he’ll even re-appear, but he’s gearing up to be the next Evil Morty-level villain.

Rick and Mortyseason 6 airs on Sundays at 11:00 PM EST on Adult Swim.
