Star Warsand NERFhave crossed over several times in the past, and now aStar Wars Jedi: Survivorplayer has redesigned Cal Kestis' blaster to look like a yellow and orange toy gun. While the Jedi are often discouraged from using traditional firearms in favor of their lightsabers and natural connection to the Force,Jedi: Survivorlets players wield a blasteralongside Cal’s trusty laser sword in one of the game’s five selectable combat styles.

This blaster is a gift from Cal’s new ally Bode Akuna, and the desperate Jedi keeps it on hand to help him with the various threats from the Empire and Dagan Gera’s Bedlam Raiders. Cal’s blaster stance works in tandem with his single-blade lightsaber, allowing him to strike at opponents from a distance after building up shots with sword strikes. Itcan also be fully customizedjust like his lightsaber and overall appearance, with players being able to change its color, grip, and barrel at any Workbench.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s customization options have allowed players to recreate their favoriteStar Warsvideo game characters or eventhat toy lightsaber they had as a kid, and now someone has decided to bring a different childhood plaything to life. Reddit user Rewskie12 recently shared their own customJedi: Survivorblaster, which is decorated in the bright orange, yellow, and grey colors of a standard NERF dart gun. Hasbro has released severalStar Wars-themed NERF blasters over the years, but this might be the first time that the toy has made its way into the galaxy far, far, away for real.

2019’sStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderlet players customize Cal’s lightsaber color, his signature poncho, his droid partner BD-1, and even the Stinger Mantis’s paint job, butJedi: Survivortook this customization furtherby offering up a variety of unlockable parts, outfits, and hairstyles to help players craft their own look. As mentioned before, some of these options call back to pastStar Warsgames likeShadows of the EmpireandJedi Knight, allowing fans to relieve their favoriteStar Warsgaming memories.

Cal’s blaster is just another one of the things players can customize as they see fit inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, letting them put their own spin on the Jedi fugitive’s already unorthodox use of a firearm. While an actual NERF gun might not do much good against the forces of the Empire, Rewskie12’s bright color scheme is a fun reference to the many toyStar Warsblasters out there and a shining example of howJedi: Survivorlets players chart their own path.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
