How to Get Lightning Rods in Stardew Valley
There are a few ways you can unlock Lightning Rods inStardew Valley, which includes a recipe that you can use to make as many Lightning Rods as you want. Before you receive the recipe, you can get a Lightning Rod as a reward forcompleting the 10,000 Bundle in theVault Room of the Community Center.You’ll only need to provide the required amount of money to complete this bundle, so make sure to save up10,000g.
If you want to start making additional Lightning Rods, however, you’ll need to obtain its recipe. This will become available to you once you havereachedForaging Level 6.Foraging includesgathering any items you find on the ground, as well as cutting down trees or picking up berries from bushes. This is one of the easier professions to take on, as you’ll only need to use one tool to raise your level.
To check what level you are currently at with Foraging, open up your menu and choose theicon at the top of your character’s face.This will give a rundown of all your skills, and the current level they are at. There will be a section for Foraging here, so you can determine how much more you’ll need to work on the skill to unlock the Lightning Rod. You’ll know you’ve leveled up once you go to sleep for the night – you’ll receive a Level Up notification for the Foraging Skill, and it will provide you with new recipes that you’ve unlocked.

How to Use Lightning Rods in Stardew Valley
Lightning Rods are actually a very useful item to have on your farm inStardew Valley. When you put up Lightning Rods, they willcollect energy from lightning strikes and create a Battery Packfor you to obtain the next morning.
Once one Lightning Rod has been hit by a lightning strike, it will be processing the Battery Packfor the rest of the day.Therefore, it’s best to place more than one on your farm to protect it throughout the whole day. Crops can also be destroyed by lightning strikes, so it’s a good idea to place a few nearby to your crops to give them extra protection.
Storms do not occur intheWinter season, but will occur at random in every other season.
