Summary

While playingThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, one player created a vehicle based onThe Dark Knight. WhileTears of the Kingdomplayers have previously made Batmobile-inspired builds, this one stood out for its two-in-one design, replicating the dual nature of Batman’s Tumbler from the iconic film.

The Batmobile is one of the most iconic vehicles in film and television history. As the main ride of the Caped Crusader, the vehicle has appeared in many adventures, often in unique iterations. However, one of the most notable was theTumbler seen inThe Dark Knight trilogy. This version of the vehicle featured an armored tank-like design, which protected Batman and offered powerful offensive capabilities. In addition, it had an impressive escape feature: a deployable “Batpod.”

OneZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer, known as element51740214 on Reddit, took inspiration from the Tumbler’s hybrid design when building in the game. The player showcased their impressiveBatman-inspired vehicle in a post on the Hyrule Engineering subreddit. The shared clip began with the player assembling the design using theAutubuild ability inTears of the Kingdom. After theBatman-inspired build had been completed, the player hopped in the cockpit and used what appeared to be a Zonai steering stick to pilot the vehicle.

After traversing the area for a while, the player showcased the standout feature of the build: the two-in-one design. Suddenly, the player shot out from the larger build, riding a two-wheeled vehicle reminiscent of the one Batman drove inThe Dark Knight. Adding to the humor of the clip, element51740214 included part of the soundtrack fromThe Dark Knightin the background as they drove around.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Community Creations

While this two-in-oneBatman-themed design is impressive, it is far from the only creation fans have made in the game recently. In addition to several other Batmobile designs, players have built everything from complex planes and boats to replicas of in-game characters and enemies, such as King Gleeok. One player even recently built avehicle that moved like a shark inTears of the Kingdom.

As these numerous creations attest,Tears of the Kingdomwill likely remain popular for the foreseeable future. The game’s staying power is notable when accounting for its lack of new content, as Nintendo previously noted that no DLC was planned for the title, a departure fromBreath of the Wild’s post-launch content updates. Despite the lack of DLC support,Tears of the Kingdom’s building systemand huge open-world design have kept players content to keep returning to the game close to a year after its initial launch.
