The newly-renamedThe Last of UsDay is coming on September 26, but Naughty Dog is celebrating early by dropping a bunch of new content on its official Twitter. The annual event, usually calledOutbreak Day, is often accompanied by Naughty Dog releasing new merchandise and content for its fans.
AlthoughThe Last of Us’s release date was in June seven years ago, September 26 is the day the in-game virus attacked the world, and so for the last several years, Naughty Dog has been celebrating theday formerly known as Outbreak Dayon the 26, having renamed the festivities in light of the very real pandemic still affecting so many people around the globe. Fans often get access to content like posters and PS4 themes, and beforeThe Last of Us 2came out, players were sometimes treated to teasers about the sequel.
