It saw generally positive reviews, with critics praising its gameplay and faithfulness to the film.
The latest update fixes a wide range ofissues withThe Texas Chain Saw Massacre. This includes multiple changes to the game’s reporting system. In addition to multiple UI fixes, players can now report others for cheating, use of exploits, spamming chat, griefing, and other prohibited actions. The developer also made multiple changes to the game’s Lobby. These include starting the match 30 seconds after the seventh player joins and hiding the timer until the last five seconds.The Texas Chain Saw Massacrealso now supports Russian and Brazilian Portuguese language options.
As for gameplay changes, Family players can no longer execute Victims who are grappling with a different Family member. Instead, their attacks will deal regular melee damage. The studio explained that this change makesThe Texas Chain Saw Massacrefairer for Victim players, who could previously be executed at full health. The developer also slightly nerfed Nancy’s Poison Claws ability, which now has a shorter duration. On the Victim side, Danny can no longer Tamper with items he’s used Instant Study on, and developers tweaked his Inspect speed and Knowledge gain. The patch also rebalances several of the game’s Perks.
Meanwhile, bug fixes include resolving multiple issues that caused Victim players to get stuck in an Incapacitation animation. Other fixes include resolving clipping issues, graphical glitches, and problems with players getting stuck on the terrain of some maps.
