Falloutis easily one of the most beloved IPs in all of gaming, with fans to this day debating which out ofFallout 3, Fallout 4, andFallout: New Vegasis better. Since those releases, the franchise has also spawned the multiplayer game,Fallout 76; inspired tons of other games, including both in indie and AAA productions; and so forth. It would also be fair to say thatFallout 5, which would come afterThe Elder Scrolls 6according to Todd Howard, has a lot of anticipation behind it already, despite likely being a game released in the 2030s.
Even thoughFallout 5is so far away, fans shouldn’t expect a dead year in 2024. A lot is going on across theFalloutfandom and across various types of media.

Fallout 4 PS5 and Xbox Series X Upgrades Coming in 2024
Although originally slated to release in 2023, Bethesda confirmed in December that it wasdelaying theFallout 4next-gen upgrades into 2024. The release ofStarfield, as well as the marketing and work surrounding it, likely played some role in this delay. It may be disappointing to fans who wanted to play it last year, but it is coming. Bethesda did not confirm a specific release window for 2024, just sometime this year, and very little is currently known about it. It is expected to get a graphical overhaul with improved framerates, 4K support, and so forth, but if it is aiming for anything loftier, fans will just have to wait and see what the company brings to the table.

It’ll likely get plenty of support post-launch as well.
