Engineers inWorld of Warcraft ClassicSeason of Discovery can unlock several crafting recipes that are usually restricted under the Goblin or Gnomish specializations. By completing a special quest from Season of Discovery Phase 3,World of Warcraftplayers can craft both Goblin and Gnomish Engineering items on the same character.
Among the crafting professions, Engineering is one of the most zany and useful. It isespecially popular inClassic WoWbecause of the utility offered through explosive consumables and equipment full of unique activated abilities. That said, many of the most powerful items they can craft are locked behind either the Goblin or Gnomish Engineering specializations – and once players choose one, they cannot learn recipes from the other.
However, it seems there is a way around this restriction toEngineering inWoW ClassicSeason of Discovery Phase 3. Once they raise their profession skill to 225, they can pick up the Gnomish Solutions or Goblin Solutions quest from Fizzbizz Coppercoil at the Shimmering Flats in the Thousand Needles. After providing a few crafted materials and completing quests that take them from Un’goro Crater to Hearthglen, characters receive an Engineering Exchange Ticket, which can be traded for a recipe from the other specialization. Another ticket can be obtained each week, so fans can get every available recipe in eight weeks.

In modernWorld of Warcraft, there is little difference between Gnomish and Goblin Engineering. However, even anEngineer inWoW: Dragonflightcannot have both Gnomish or Goblin recipes from earlier expansions. This makes Season of Discovery the first timeWorld of Warcraftfans can craft items from both specializations on a single toon.

This isn’t the only surprise waiting for players in Season of Discovery Phase 3.Hunters on theWorld of Warcraft Classicservers can tame Core Hounds, and fans craft new Epic Nightmare items through a difficult quest involving the Shadowy Figure from the first two phases. Phase 3 only recently went live inWorld of Warcraft, so players still have plenty of surprises to discover on the experimental realms.
