The arrival of the newest Prime Gaming reward arrived at a busy time forWorld of Warcraft,as the long-running MMORPG is coming offthe launch of the Seeds of Renewal content update. In addition to class balance updates, Patch 10.2.5 brought the story ofDragonflightto a conclusion, brought the Worgen back to their home in Gilneas, and served to steer the story toward the upcoming expansion,The War Within. It remains to be seen when alpha testing will begin for the next expansion, which will serve as the first chapter of The Worldsoul Saga forWorld of Warcraft.

In the meantime,World of Warcraftplayers can add another pet to their collections. Until February 27,World of Warcraftplayers with an active Amazon Prime subscription can claim the Cap’n Crackers Petvia Prime Gaming. However, claiming this pet requires a few steps to undertake. First, players will need to link their Amazon Prime and Twitch accounts together to access Prime Gaming. Once that step is done, players must then connect their Prime Gaming and Battle.net accounts together and follow any prompts that appear. After that, Cap’n Crackers will automatically be added to the Collections tab in-game upon the next login. As was the case withthe JanuaryWorld of WarcraftPrime Gaming reward, this swashbuckling bird is exclusive toWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflight, and cannot be claimed in anyWorld of Warcraft: Classicgame modes.
World of Warcraft Prime Gaming Reward (February 2024)
Cap’n Crackers first appeared in theBattle for Azerothexpansion as a pet that could be purchased via the in-game Cash Shop for $10. Cap’n Crackers can also take part in pet battles and is classified as a Flying-type pet. Due to the addition of the Trading Post, and the ongoing Prime Gaming promotion, Cap’n Crackers and other cosmetic items were retired from the Cash Shop. However, withWorld of Warcraftteasing a potential pirate event in Patch 10.2.6, the addition of Cap’n Crackers to Prime Gaming could either be foreshadowing or a complete coincidence.
Between Cap’n Crackers, and somepotential Trading Post rewards coming in February,World of Warcraft’s cosmetic collectors will have their fill of content. With the Prime Gaming crossover winding down in the coming months, only time will tell what future rewards Blizzard has in mind.
