December is almost upon us, meaning gamers will be digging through Black Friday deals, Christmas shopping, and more with the holiday season, but it also means that Microsoft will be announcing itsXboxfreeGames with Goldin the coming days. Typically, this array of free games consist of 2 Xbox One games and 2 Xbox 360 games (though Microsoft will occasionally include an original Xbox game), all of which is decided upon by the gaming giant.

As such, accurately predicting the Games with Gold for each month is nigh-impossible, and many will consider some months better than others. Given the holiday season, perhaps Microsoft will be generous with the games for this coming month. Our wish list is composed of games and franchises that have appeared before, some that are long overdue, and some that would just be cool to play on current-gen consoles. So, without further ado, here is Game Rant’sXboxGames with Gold December 2019 wish list.

Dragon Age Inquisition

BothDragon Age: OriginsandDragon Age 2have headlined Xbox’s Games with Gold in the past, so it would only make sense to see the threequel appear here eventually. At the time of its release,Dragon Age Inquisitionwas sold on Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, and PS4, so including it here would be good way to incentivize many to return to the franchise who had bought it on older consoles ne’er to return. It also helps that it released all the way back in 2014, making its inclusion at some point seem all the more certain. Plus, withDragon Age 4in development, it would be a good way to promote the game, even ifDragon Age 4’s release date is still far off.

Watch Dogs 2

Needless to say,Watch Dogs Legioncaught the eye of many a fan at E3 2019 when it showcased its unique gameplay that sees players take over a variety of characters, from an assassin-turned-granny to a man who will die randomly. Because of this, many were also likely disappointed whenUbisoft announcedLegion’s delayamong a plethora of other games, even if this does result in a better game in the long run. IncludingWatch Dogs2 on the Games with Gold lineup would give gamers who haven’t tried it out a chance to while waiting for the next entry. Sure,Watch Dogs 2has its detractors and it’s not a game for everyone, but given the original is already on the lineup, it does make sense and would be a worthwhile inclusion for some.

BioShock 2

The Xbox 360 game that deserves a spot on the roster isBioShock 2, asBioShock Infinitehas already been put on been given away and rumors indicate that aBioShock 3announcementmay be imminent. Really, either the original or the second one would see fans of the franchise revisiting the game again, but it remains to be seen when and if Games with Gold ever brings more of this franchise into its fold.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell

Our choice of an Xbox 360 game would be the originalTom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, if for no other reason than the nostalgia for Sam Fisher. Tom Clancy games have evolved, exploring a multitude of genres, but returning to the original would be a good way to end 2019. It’s also within reason as a multitude of Tom Clancy games have appeared on this service, includingTom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, not to mention thatUbisoft has teased a newSplinter Celltime and again. Whether those teases ever manifests is up in the air, but there’s little doubt that nostalgia would “sell” this one onXbox’s Games with Gold.
